What is a special service?

Some specific services are not included in your flight ticket and therefore they need to be specifically requested from the airline.

The following services fall under this category:

• Special baggage (bicycles, wheelchairs, sports equipment, musical instruments etc.)
• Minors travelling alone
• Special meals on board
• Special assistance at the airport
• Travellers with reduced mobility or needing a wheelchair
• Travellers travelling with animals

Most of these are not included in your initial ticket price. These services are restricted per flight, which is why they have to be authorised by the relevant airline before the tickets are issued. If you are travelling on a low-cost airline, you may need to contact the airline directly.
